Trickle Creek Golf Resort presents the First Annual Couples/Mixed Open Golf Tournament
Kimberley, B.C – Trickle Creek Golf Resort is holding a brand new tournament on September 22nd – 24th, the new couples/mixed team tournament. Teams of two will compete for great prizes in a modified Scotch Ball Format*. Included in your entry fee is 2 – 18 hole rounds with power carts & range balls, prizes, 5 meals (dinner on Friday & Saturday, breakfast on Saturday & Sunday and lunch on Sunday). For golfers traveling from out of town, Trickle Creek Lodge is offering a special rate.
*Scotch Ball Format – Each member of the team drives the ball and then each team member hits from where their partners drive is. Next, select the best shot and then alternate shots to finish the hole. No team member can hit a ball two times in a row. On par three’s its alternate shot after each team member’s tee shot.

How long have you golfed for? 
I have golfed since high school. (Which was a long time ago.)
Why do you like golf?
I will counteract by asking you how can you not love a sport that has its own 24 hour tv channel?
Who is your favourite golfer?
Bubba Watson, and my heart is with Mike Weir but my brain is with Graham Delate for favourite Canadian.
What makes Kimberley special for you?
Kimberley and Trickle Creek have always been Home for me. I started my golf career at Trickle as a starter/marshall as my first job in Kimberley, went to the pro shop where I was encouraged to pursue my golf management degree and the rest is history.
Why is Trickle one of your favourite golf resorts?
I was at Trickle during the very early years and got to watch the Resort grow and develop. I worked for The City of Kimberley and then for Charlie Locke and then and now for Murray Edwards. We achieved and won quite a few awards when I was involved with the Resort , including the Bronze Medal from Score golf which was voted on by the Golfers of Canada which is huge because the people that play Trickle Creek said that we are one of the Best facilities in Canada.
Tell us something that people don’t know about you?
I curl, golf and ski but have also taken up road biking since moving back to Kimberley. I was “Publican of the Year” in British Columbia when we owned our Neighborhood Pub in Prince Rupert.
Anything else you would like to add?
I am honoured and excited to be back at Trickle Creek and look forward to a great season with the Staff and continuing to build and maintain our favoured position with our golfers and customers at this amazing facility.
